Mupu Farms is a two acre farm, just north of Santa Paula, California…

Karen and Mike Karayan own Mupu Farms and our goal is to live a healthy and full life with our 22 chickens, 2 pygmy goats (Harpo and Elvis) and two cats, Libbie (named for Karen’s grandmother) and Queenie (a character from one of Mike’s favorite movies, WC Fields “It’s a Gift.”

Our grown children Megan and Zach grew up on this farm (well it was mostly a few fruit trees, lots of dirt and a creek that runs behind the property) until Mike came along.  Mike and Karen decided to plant many more fruit trees and avocados since Mike came into the picture in 1992.   Mike most recently completed a huge organic veggie garden this year.

Mike, while not teaching in December, has a Christmas tree lot on our property where he sells fresh Oregon Christmas trees we have shipped to us around the first of December.  These beautiful and amazingly fragrant trees consist of mostly Nobel firs, Douglas firs and a few Frazier or Nordman firs.  Our trees are cut within 2 or 3 days of shipment to us.  We keep them covered in the shade or up in buckets of water to ensure their freshness. If you visit us during tree season, you will feel like you are up in the mountains surrounded by wonderful smells and beautiful trees!  We provide hot chocolate and coffee while you are shopping and also have a nightly campfire should you want to sit by it and roast a marshmallow!!!

  1. Hi! Are you all still open for business in 2021? We’ll be camping at the KOA Thanksgiving weekend and would love to stop by.

    1. Yes, hopefully we will be open Sunday afternoon, Nov 28, but we are waiting for confirmation from our trucker for exact delivery date. Thanks for checking! Sorry for the delayed response. Karen
